District Football Champions!
On Thursday 5th January Warren Mead participated in the Banstead and Reigate district finals for the chance to represent the district in the county finals. The boys displayed great character and excellent football ability in winning their first 2 games versus Yattendon and Banstead respectively. The third game was a brilliant battle versus Kingswood ending in a draw a game the boys felt they could have won. Leaving the final game versus Woodmansterne as a must win game for WM to guarantee 1st place. The boys were playing excellent football creating great chances and not looking like they were going to concede yet time was running out. Until 30 seconds left on the clock and Rico Mitchell nipped in with some lovely feet to and excellent finish to win the game 1-0! It was confirmed Warren Mead had finished 1st place and were district champions!
