Wrap around care at Warren Mead

Warren Mead provide wrap around care for either side of the school day, both breakfast and after school for children in Reception to Year 6.  The club ONLY runs during term time and is staffed by school staff  who accompany the children to the classrooms in the morning for their lessons.

The Warren is based in the Year 6 block (Junior site) and parents are asked to drop and collect at the gate door next to Year 6 block (please ring bell on the gate by year 6 block).  Please use the Junior School entrance (Roundwood Way and enter through the gates and the bell is at the far end of the Junior car park).

Timings:

Breakfast club starts at 7:30am and finishes at 8:35am. Each day the children will be provided with a breakfast of cereal, toast, spread with water and milk to drink. 

After School Club starts at 3.15pm and finishes at 5.55pm. The children receive a snack during this time as well as a sandwich, wrap,  hot-dog or pizza with fruit juice, milk or water to drink.

Activities:

Different activities are put out for the children every day, depending on their interests and requests. The children also have access to the outdoor space at the Infant school to play outdoor games.

At 5.30pm, the club starts ‘chillout time’ which provides the children with the opportunity to watch a cartoon, movie or read a book quietly. By this time, the children tend to be tired so it provides a calm end to the session, before pick up time. 

Please note that there is no wrap around care when the school finishes early on the last day of term.
