Miss Charlotte Briley

My Journey supporting, teaching and providing positive experiences for children began over 20 years ago and I can honestly say, I still absolutely love it! My career firstly began in a private day nursery, caring and educating our very youngest generation. Throughout my journey, as the children gained more knowledge, I gained more experience and decided to train as an early year’s teacher. Teaching is honestly the most rewarding job and I enjoy every moment. Helping our youngest generation, learn and challenge themselves, helping them to achieve and succeed.

In my own time, I’m a very lucky mummy to two wonderful children, who like to keep me busy, playing table tennis and reading books. I also love to cook, we most recently experimented with making surprise pizza’s that contained crisps as a topping, it was surprisingly delicious!

As a passionate teacher, I look forward to meeting every new child and family, and whilst working together, we will give your child an outstanding education.

 

Mrs Jo Brodie

I began my career in childcare after gaining my level 3 diploma in Nursery Nursing.  I started working in a private day nursery with the toddlers which was both fun and challenging for a newly qualified Nursery Nurse! I then worked in social services for a number of years which gave me lots of experience with children and families in need. Finally I began working in a primary school close to where I previously lived and stayed there for 18 years! I worked in both Nursery & Reception during that time and absolutely loved the school environment. Education is where my heart lies, especially in the Foundation Stage. 

We moved to Banstead and my girls started here at Warren Mead Schools, I could see as a parent what a great school it was and started working in the Nursery in September 2023.   

In my spare time, I’m a busy Mum and enjoy spending time with my husband, daughters and family. I love eating out in Restaurants, watching documentaries and visiting the beach in the Summer time.

I am looking forward to welcoming your child into the setting and helping them through their journey of learning, making it memorable and exciting!

Key Person

Before your child starts at our Nursery we will come and visit you at home. This helps us get to know your child in the comfort of their own home and we will ask you to complete an "All About Me" form to support this. 

Once your child starts with us, they will be allocated a member of staff who will be their ‘Key Person’. All our Nursery staff will get to know your child well, but the Key Person’s role is to help your child settle and be someone they can relate to and rely on when they are with us. The Key Person will identify how your child learns through their play and be responsible for ensuring that the care your little one receives meets their individual needs. The Key Person will be your first point of contact for any questions you might have.

We will inform you of your child’s Key Person once they have been at Nursery for a few weeks. This gives us the opportunity to get to know your child and identify who the most appropriate member of staff is for your child. This is based on the relationship that your child has with the different team members and any additional needs or interests.

At Warren Mead Nursery we use an online system called Tapestry to make regular observations of your child - we write down what they say and do and take lots of photos to keep you updated with how they are getting on.
