GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

    Years 4 and 5 Swimming Superstars!

    Year 4 were so excited to start their first swimming lessons last week. We were so proud when we received this email from the swimming pool:

    Good morning,

    I am hoping this can get back to the headmaster and the teachers who handle the class who just come though for a lesson today 9-10.

    I just wanted to say, I have never had a more polite school come through the doors, every pupil smiled and either waved or said hi, one little girl with dark hair in pigtails with slightly tanned skin even wished me a good day. They all seemed very excited to come swimming but none of them were shouting or screaming, very well behaved and listened to their teachers, not that I saw anything a teacher might have needed to intervene for.

    The swim teachers and other receptionists were all very impressed as well.

    Thanks, look forward to having your school in again.
