Year 6 World War II Day
Last week, the Year 6 children took part in a World War II day where they were fully immersed into the past in order to enhance their learning. The children put a lot of effort into dressing up and as soon as they came in, they went through a full evacuation experience. Throughout the day, they took part in a variety of activities including making Anderson shelters, Blitz skylines and codebreaking. The day then went into the evening with the children taking part in a night walk, learning dances from the era and experiencing the rationing that took place. It was a brilliant day and evening that all the children enjoyed and learnt so much from!
