Warren Mead Eco Drive
Year 4 enjoyed their gardening slot with Mrs Raney in the sunshine last Friday! Every year group has a chance each half term to spend time in our wonderful Quad space - working on planting fruits and vegetables, creating bug hotels, creating environmental art and litter picking the site. The children worked really hard to get some of our first seeds of the year planted and they also collected lots of litter to make sure our school was looking fantastic!
This year we have lots of plans for our outside space and alongside our Eco Warriors the children are going to be growing their own food to serve at lunchtime as well as growing sensory plants for all to enjoy! With the development of our pond, we are hoping to get some children pond dipping in the summer and working to attract more wildlife to our space.
The Eco Warriors have also set up a battery recycling area in both schools and are working hard on more exciting projects to come in the second half of the year!
