Fixtures & Results
On Wednesday 25th January eighteen children across Year 5 & 6 competed in the regional sportshall hall athletics. The squad consisted of nine girls and nine boys with each child participating in 2x track events and 2x field events. Warren Mead were competing against 11 different schools and the atmosphere was electric. The girls team finishing 1st in three of the track events and 2nd in the final three. The boys also showed great talent with a 1st place finish, 2x 2nd place finishes and a 3rd. The field events were also hugely successful with children posting huge scores across all events from chest push, standing jump and speed bounce. With the final race complete the final places were revealed with WM finishing 2nd only 8 pints behind the winners. The achievement of second place means we go forward into the county finals being held at Guildford Spectrum in March. The children were a credit to WM and showcased amazing talent.
